How We Use Internet Access

The App requires internet access for the following purposes:

• Product Information Retrieval: When you share a product link with the app, we access that webpage to automatically extract the product title, price, and store name for your convenience.
• Automatic Price Updates: If you enable auto-updates for an item, the app will periodically check product pages (twice daily) to get current pricing information.
• Manual Price Updates: You can manually trigger price updates for items with URLs to check for current pricing.

Important: This web access is performed directly from your device to the product websites. We do not route this traffic through our servers, and no data is sent to us. The app works with major e-commerce sites including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Target, and many others.

Local Data Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device and includes:

• Budget Items: Product names, prices, store names, URLs, priority order, and purchase status
• Financial Settings: Your income amount, pay frequency, payday dates, current balance, and tax percentage
• Recurring Payments: Payment schedules, due dates, payment amounts, and notification preferences
• App Preferences: Theme selections, notification settings, and auto-update preferences
• Purchase History: Record of items you've marked as purchased
• Price Update History: Timestamps and success status of automatic price updates

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself (such as through the CSV export feature).

Notifications

The App may send you local notifications on your device for:

• Affordability Alerts: When items on your wishlist become affordable based on your budget
• Payment Reminders: For recurring payment due dates (if you enable this feature)

These notifications are generated locally on your device and do not involve any external servers. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.

Third-Party Websites

When you share product links with our app, we access third-party websites to retrieve product information. These websites may have their own privacy policies and data collection practices. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any websites whose links you share with the app.

Data Security
